Our Dances

Starting in September each year, Waterdown Village Squares call four levels of Square Dances at St. James United Church, 306 Parkside Drive E., Waterdown, Ontario (See driving instructions below). Class/Mainstream on Thursday, Plus on Monday and A-1 on Tuesday. Along with our regular dances, we host a number of Special Events and Theme Weeks throughout the year (please see our schedule for 2011/12 below). Plus and A-1 dances are from 8:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M., with Class dances starting at 7:30 P.M. (New Time) and Mainstream dancers joining in at 8:00 P.M. Light refreshments follow all dances.

New dancers to the Basic (or Class) instructional level are entitled to one free night in September. After that the fee is $7.00 per person. This rate covers all other dances. New dancers are encouraged to bring their family on Family Night, which this year is September 23rd.

Membership in the Club is not mandatory, but is recommended as it provides insurance at all dances, regardless of where they are held. The cost is $6.00 each.

Club Badges are available from the Membership Secretary for all members at a cost of $10.00

Parkside Drive is the 1st road running east from Highway 6, just north of the junction with Highway 5. The Church is located approximately 3 Km along that road. There is plenty of parking along side the Church.
