Our Callers Jim Lee
Jim also spreads the word about Square Dancing, teaching classes for children and teens, right through to seniors. Square Dance Clubs also benefit from his teaching from Mainstream up to the Challenge Level.
Bill Everett
While studying to become a Phys-Ed teacher, Bill got married. Coaching and playing sports took a lot of is time and Bill and his wife, Delaine, realizing a need for a joint activity decided on ballroom dancing. Before starting, his aunt and uncle, Mary and Phil Clarke, square dancers for about 19 years, convinced them to try square dancing at Waterdown Village Squares. The music started and Bill was hooked. At the Annual Hoedown night, Bill participated as a caller, using Daisy a Day as his singing call. The next year, Bill taught Square Dancing at his school, honing his skills calling tips with Jim Lee at Waterdown Village Squares. When a caller was needed at Waterdown, Bill was primed and ready to go. Bill has now retired from teaching, but keeps busy with his sports and continues his life long singing career, both producing and acting in many local musical shows.
